MEET THE OWNER & LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Sean Murrin
Owner • Certified Driving Instructor • 25+ Years in Law Enforcement

Sean Murrin founded Art of the Wheel Driving School with a commitment to giving new drivers something beyond basic instruction — the judgment, awareness, confidence, and decision-making skills needed to stay safe in the real world.

With more than 25 years of law-enforcement experience, Sean has served in patrol as well as specialized assignments involving narcotics investigations and major criminal investigations, including homicide cases. Throughout his career, he has seen firsthand how one poor decision behind the wheel can have lasting consequences for young drivers, their families, and the community.

That experience has shaped his approach to driver education.

At Art of the Wheel, students are taught more than how to pass a road test. Instruction emphasizes defensive driving, situational awareness, hazard recognition, responsible decision-making, vehicle control, and confidence in real-world traffic situations.

Sean believes every student learns differently. Lessons are conducted one-on-one and tailored to the individual driver's experience, strengths, and areas that need improvement. The goal is not simply to produce a licensed driver — it is to develop a safe, responsible, independent driver prepared for years of driving ahead.

Sean Murrin

As the owner of Art of the Wheel Driving School, I bring more than twenty-five years of law enforcement experience and over a decade of expertise as a certified driving instructor to each lesson. Throughout my police career, I have witnessed how a single decision behind the wheel can change a young person’s life forever. These experiences drive my mission: to teach new drivers the awareness, judgment, and safe habits that can prevent the tragedies I’ve responded to far too often.

Our program combines real-world roadway experience with proven teaching methods focused on safety, confidence, and responsibility. Every student trains one-on-one with trusted law enforcement driving school instructors or certified driving instructors — professionals fully vetted and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. As a father of three, I understand the trust parents place in the person teaching their child to drive, and I take that responsibility seriously.
